I think you hit the nail on the head a few times with this post.

1.
Confidence and fear aren’t mutually exclusive states - they can exist in the same person at the same time.

People often admire my confidence. I fear nothing, therefore they think I have no fears.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Holy crap, I must have 10,000 fears more than Joe Average. I just don't let them stop me.

2.
You experience fear when you’re about to go out of your comfort zone, and it’s a voice that tells you all the things that can go wrong (whether real or imagined) and every way you can screw up or look stupid.

One of the most common things I do is analyze a situation for every possible outcome, from brilliant to horrifying. When I know exactly all the possibilities, then I know what I may face and how I'll cope with them.

Then I head right into it. I can handle that, right? I already know what's coming, and we only fear the unknown, they say.

3.
When you have true confidence that voice of fear doesn’t matter. You’ll hear it, sure, but your trust in your ability to make choices and to deal with whatever happens vastly outweighs it.
