@Jamie: Tough when you're busy isn't it? Surely you've got guys clambering at your door?!

@Nev: Good point, well made. I often say flippant, throw-away things and understand where you're coming from. I also agree with what you say about when you meet someone, and thinking back to my past I know I'm willing to throw todays priorities out of the window when the right person comes along. Thanks for reminding me of that.

Hmmm..... The "Re" part at the top of my post a moment ago got deleted on pressing Submit.

The missing part is:

"slip some Rohypnol into a pretty girls’ cup of coffee"

Hi Steve,

I really enjoy reading your blog, but....

         Re <>

I know it's tongue-in-cheek, but there are so many weirdos out there and date rape drugs are grimmer than grim (despicably evil in fact, IMHO), so please don't allow yourself to be accused of either trivialising, condoning or encouraging them. I know, I know... It's *just* a throw away comment, but it surely shouldn't be even that? If there aren't any weirdos reading your blog (I hope not), then spare a thought for anyone possibly coming here to help build confidence after being (or knowing someone) who has been, a victim of this awful crime. I don't know anyone btw - I'm just amazed you said it.

On the subject of "having time", we all choose our priorities and I believe when we meet "the one", or even the one we think is "the one", time "gets found" and all those other important priorities seem a little trivial by comparison. Perhaps that's our human frailty and just one of the reasons the other important, but not *so* important (after all), life-style choices, are put to one side as soon as we meet "the one".

I hope you are 100% well again soon & ready to face rejection or otherwise - It's the journey either way, so how can there be anything to fear, right? (there’s no “right” or “wrong” of course…. ;-).
