I tweeted yesterday how much I’m looking forward to not tweeting about being sick. Really, it would be funny if it wasn’t so old.
Right now it’s an absolutely stunning day outside and I’d normally be out there making the most of it, but I’m indoors because it hurts to move. Everything aches, from my eyeballs to my toes.
So the reason for this post is to simply let you know that there won’t be any posts for a week or so, until I get my blogging legs back. I’ve even cancelled clients, which I hate doing.
Blogging experts say that not posting for a while is like committing blogging suicide, but I have to listen to what my body’s telling me and just rest for a while, and to be honest anything I was to write now wouldn’t be up to scratch. Part of me is trying to convince myself that I can still write and post, but I’ve decided to continue the theme of making decisions that serve me well and am listening to the part of me that knows better.
I’m off for a nap. See you soon.

Hi Steve –
I hope you feel better soon! Maybe your body is demanding some down time and you will emerge from this with lots of new ideas and enthusiasm. I can’t wait to hear them!
Best Wishes and Take Good Care of Yourself!

Awww, thank you Frances, much appreciated. Saw the doc today who said today it was chronic fatigue syndrome, so it looks like it’ll be sticking around for a while. V. frustrating – I wanna be doing lots of cool stuff but can’t!

Steve
I too have been told I have CFS, and I just wanted to send you some good thoughts and encourage you to listen to your body and don’t let the ‘CFS’ label get you down. Firstly, it takes time but it does better, and secondly, it never ceases to amaze me how these sorts of challenges can open up opportunities and ideas you never thought possible. But having read a bit of your wonderful site – you already know this. Take it easy, listen to your body, and focus on the things you CAN do. And don’t stop doing the things you love – it may take you a little or even a lot longer to write a post, but if it lights you up, do it anyway
Be good to yourself!

@Kim: Appreciate your input Kim – I’ve been steadily crossing things off my to-do list in an effort to regroup and come back stronger. It’s a process of learning and I know there’s a whole bunch of things I’ll get from this. Thank you, and let me know how I can help you.
